The Beyond the Book festival aims to connect readers with writers, to enhance the role of reading and writing in Brighton and Hove, and to celebrate the cultural and creative city that we call home. As a team of Brighton based bestselling authors we believe in the power of books and storytelling to bring communities together, to foster connections and increase and nurture cultural growth. We understand that reading cultivates empathy and expands our knowledge of one another and the world around us and we will ensure that Brighton authors are celebrated alongside other leading figures of the literary world from across the country. Our inaugural, one day event, on the 6th of April 2024 at Friends Meeting House, aims to provide readers, aspiring authors and creatives with a series of informative and entertaining panels and the opportunity to meet the attending authors.
